It's been a while since I have done any wedding blogs, with the last few being on my old webpage. Now, finally with some downtime, I have the opportunity to share the lovely couples' weddings from last season that I had the privilege of capturing and the wonderful vendors I worked alongside.

I first met Zoe and Tom when I just started building my portfolio, in Dunedin and I was able to do a family/maternity shoot just before little Tamati was born. So when they got in touch to ask if I was able to photograph their wedding day it was a true honour, and it was incredible to be part of their journey from a growing family to their beautiful wedding day.
Zoe and Tom celebrated their love with an unforgettable ceremony and reception at The Lochend Woolshed in Dunedin. They were surrounded by their family, friends, and of course little Tamati. Lochend Woolshed was the wedding venue of choice for most of my couples this season, it is an absolutely beautiful spot and I know we are all lucky to have such an incredible venue nestled in Dunedin and it provided the perfect backdrop for Zoe and Tom's wedding. The temperamental November weather, with its bright sunshine moments and sudden hail storms, added an element of excitement to the day. Despite this, Leah and the lovely team for Encore events worked around to make sure the weather did not disrupt their perfect day.

The day started with Tom and his groomsmen getting ready. Tom’s suit, from Hallenstein, was complemented by the enthusiastic presence of little Tamati, who, through the bribery of his nana, was soon happy to hang around the other men as they prepared for the day ahead.
Meanwhile, at Tom and Zoe’s residence, the ladies enjoyed the sunshine on the front lawn with a bottle of bubbly. Zoe's calm demeanour amidst the unpredictable weather was admirable. I remember her having a little laugh as the skies opened up and both hail and rain came gushing down just before we were due to leave. Moments later, she was surrounded by her friends and family, who got to see her revel in her stunning dress wearing @madewithlovebridal paired with @gracious.jewellery Harper pearl drop earrings purchased at Bride and Winter. The lovely bouquets were constructed by Dried Meadow, adding a perfect touch to the elegant ambience.

The ceremony was officiated by the fantastic Tania Bishop. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows, Tamati making sure he got to be a part of the day which was both Zoe and Toms hope as they promised to continue to love and cherish each in every moment.
.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a delightful reception filled with laughter, love, and celebration. Leah and her lovely team at Encore Events always go above and beyond, and the time and effort they put in behind the scenes made a massive difference to the quality and level of enjoyment each bride and groom as well as the guests experience. BBQ Bill catered for the event, offering delicious food that everyone enjoyed.

One of my favourite moments was when the couple slipped away for a private moment at the Esplanade on St Clair, at that point it was so cold, but both Tom and Zoe were champs and we got to capture stunning moments.

Zoe and Tom’s first dance as husband and wife got the party started, with their opening dance setting the tone for an evening of fun and celebration.
There were so many special moments throughout the day.

Congratulations to Zoe and Tom on their lovely wedding.
Stay tuned for more love stories to follow.
