The 2024 wedding season kicked off with Sol and Sean’s amazing wedding. It was such a special day, bringing together family and friends from Argentina and South Africa. The love and happiness were contagious, making it a day everyone will remember for a long time, I am sure.

When I met up with Sol and Sean about a year before their wedding, it was such a treat to hear them talk about the life they’ve built together. They shared stories about their journey as a couple, their dreams for the wedding day, and how much it meant to them to have family and friends coming from all over the world.
The excitement in their voices was contagious as they imagined everyone gathering to celebrate their love. It was clear how much this day meant to them, and it was so special to see it unfold, so wonderfully.

Working alongside Cameron from O’Connor Films, we started the day at the Scenic Hotel, capturing Sol and her friends as they got ready. Their hair was beautifully styled by Aurum, and makeup was flawlessly done by Amplified Cosmetica. Meanwhile, Cameron captured the groom and groomsmen downstairs, getting ready for the big day.

We wrapped up the morning at the Scenic Hotel, where some of the guests, along with the groom and groomsmen, hopped on a charming Heritage Bus, that took them to the stunning Lochend Woolshed for the ceremony. Christine Hislop led a touching ceremony that perfectly highlighted the special friendship and love between Sol and Sean. Sol’s close friends also took a moment to share some heartfelt words during the ceremony, adding a personal and intimate touch. It was so evident how much these two mean to each other, and having their family and friends there to share in the moment made the day even more special. The whole atmosphere was incredibly heartwarming, with everyone coming together to celebrate this wonderful couple and their beautiful journey.

The reception was an absolute delight! They kicked off the party right away with some lively dancing, and everyone was quickly on their feet—it was an honor to document it and soak in all the fun. The evening was truly magical, with everything coming together perfectly: fantastic food, wonderful company, and endless laughter and joy.

The catering by Precinct was, as always, incredible, and this wedding was no exception. The beautiful grazing table they set up added a lovely touch to the event. Encore Events did an amazing job working with Leah and her team to plan and organize the bar, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The cake from Baked and Raised was not only stunning but also incredibly delicious, quickly becoming a hit with everyone. And a special shout-out to July, the owner of Lochend, who was running around helping wherever she could—her efforts really made a difference.

Lochend Woolshed is one of my favorite wedding venues in Dunedin and we took full advantage of the gorgeous surroundings, making sure Sol and Sean also had some time to themselves. It was such a joy to be part of their special day.

Sol and Sean’s wedding was a fantastic way to kick off the new year, overflowing with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. It was truly an honor to be part of their special day and to capture these precious memories. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness and joy!
